A lovely, Imperial Russian miniature egg pendant, made around the turn of the 20th century. This egg-shaped pendant is modeled in 56 zolotnik gold, andis decorated with fine, powder-blue guilloche enamel work, whose pattern resembles layered feathers or leaves. This little egg has a small six-pointed star on its bottom. We are confident that this egg belongs to the house ofFabergé, but the original suspension loop has been lost, and with it thedefinitive marks. The guilloche pattern, the star, and the particular alloy of gold all point to its origins; our pricing is considerate of the missing marks.
